Restaurants for Virginia Wine

trummer_webFor those who don’t know, I started my adventure in blogging covering Virginia wineries. After being pregnant and having my first kid, I realized that a blog solely focused on Virginia wine wasn’t going to work. Even though I started Jules of All Trades, I still have a soft spot for Virginia wine. I enjoy experiencing the wineries, but also like supporting our local agriculture and economy.

While some restaurants are located mere miles from wineries, many still don’t carry any local wines. Due to all of the regulations concerning alcohol distribution, this is one ways the man is holding us down. And by us, I mean wineries. But it is also unforunate for the consumers. For this reason, I get very excited when I see local options on a wine list. If you’re like me, I compiled a short list of restaurants near or in Northern Virginia that serve local wine. There are so many more, especially around the state, but those will have to be another post. As long as you’re eating local, try to drink local too!
