Hand, Foot, and Homebound

It was a very slow and confined week in the house. John started getting sick on Tuesday with a very high fever. It continued into Wednesday, even with medication, so we made a trip to the doctor. I think the doctor jinxed us during John’s 18 month appointment. She remarked on how thin his file is because he’s rarely been in excluding his standard well check-ups. He was diagnosed with a virus, most likely hand, foot, and mouth.

The rest of our week consisted of postponing playdates, snuggles, blankets, and a little playing towards the end. He was fever-free on Friday, but then had a low one again Saturday. We played it safe and canceled even more plans for the weekend. We ended up running a few errands, and John was in tv heaven at Best Buy. That was pretty much our max excitement for the week. Hopefully this week can only be better.
