Hello, third trimester! Life has pretty much been business as usual, and I have a doctor appointment this Friday. As long as I’m reading my lab report correctly, I don’t have gestational diabetes. Not only is that more convenient, but that also gives the doctors one less thing to nag me about. Win-win. Amazingly, there’s no toddler in my picture and the same dress still fits from May!
The worst thing recently has been the weather. I don’t do 95 plus humidity well. It seems to be cooling down slightly though, with more temperatures in the 80s and sometimes even the 70s. When I was pregnant with John I was still working full-time, and it was far less noticeable than with a toddler who wants to play outside all the time.
Sleep these days is typically interrupted by a trip or two to the bathroom, but I’m usually able to fall back asleep pretty easily. I’m not looking forward to increased back pain over the next couple weeks though, as I’m already having my fair share. It’s hard to believe that I have less than 12 weeks to go. It seems so close, yet so far away. Since we are having a second boy in the same season, we don’t need to do all that much to prepare. We don’t have a name yet, but that isn’t super surprising since John’s was finalized after he was born.
After this week, I start doctor appointments every other week. Let the countdown begin!
