As of last week it is officially Fall! And better yet, it’s finally starting to feel like it. My toddler loves the outdoors, and I’m trying to get him outside as much as possible. All of these are great ideas for any area, but the links are for specific activities in Northern Virginia. Happy Fall Ya’ll!

Trick or Treating Events
Easy Walks or Hikes
Finger Painting- I haven’t been brave enough to try this one yet, but you can use red, yellow, and orange to help them paint a tree like outside.
Paint Pumpkins- Since nothing really says Halloween fun like letting a toddler carve a pumpkin, painting is probably a better idea. I’m not sure why, but it doesn’t seem as intimidating to me as the finger painting.
Raking Leaves- And jumping in them of course!
Baking- They can help you with all the Fall goodies! Depending on their age, you could actually have them measure ingredients. I’m lucky if my son actually dumps everything in the mixing bowl.
